Today in the Chocolate Factory...

Posted on November 21, 2008 2:15 PM by Leann

I apologize but today, I am a woman of few words. Phones are ringing, chocolate is flowing and holiday music is beginning to play in my head. I find myself singing carols at my desk, much to the dismay of my co-workers (not sure if it's the carols or my singing making them grown, probably the latter). So, I decided to take a quick trip through the factory to see what they've got going on, snap a few pics and share them with you. So, without further delay, here is Today in the Chocolate Factory.

Getting ready for caramel-filled bars, caramel is cooking down in the copper fire kettle. Hard to resist the smell of caramel as it cooks.

Just-made chocolate covered pretzels await their fate.

These photos don't do this justice but the wall of beautiful colored foils we use on our foil wrapped chocolates is one of my favorite things. All the shiny colors look like something out of Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory.

Here, chocolate truffle ganache marches it's way down to be enrobed.

After being enrobed, chocolate truffles are hand decorated so not only do they look beautiful, you can tell which is which.

I hope you enjoyed this little glimpse into the goings on in the chocolate factory today. I'll take another trip through soon and share the pics with you again. Have a great weekend!
