First it was chocolate pumpkins for Halloween. Then it was chocolate turkeys for Thanksgiving. Now, it’s chocolate coins for Hannukah. I’m constantly surrounded by a sea of thematic chocolates. I guess it’s just that time of year. Don’t misunderstand me. I’m not complaining. I’m just sensing a pattern.
The pumpkins were fun because they just smiled all day long. The Turkeys were good because they’re just so darn cute and the perfect size for snacking, nap-free! And now, the Hannukah chocolates are here. While our truffles and bars are always Kosher, we have these beautiful blue containers of chocolate coins in this pretty, shiny metallic foil and I just love them. Once they hit the shelves in the store, they brighten things right up. And it’s so dramatic a shift in colors from the previous autumnal hues. Really let’s you know winter and the holiday season are upon us.
Sure, it won’t be long before there is an army of Chocolate Santas and Snowmen standing at attention, waiting for their day in the spotlight. Especially since Hannukah begins Dec. 4. Before we know it, December will be gone and we’ll be on to hearts and bunnies.
But right now, I’m happy just to take in the beautiful colors of Hannukah and enjoy them as the season begins to unfold.
