After much planning, training and detail-wrangling, it’s finally finished and ready to go. And we’re so excited. What are we excited about? I’m glad you asked! We are starting an exciting weekly program with our partners at Smugglers’ Notch Ski Resort. It’s called “A Chocolate Adventure” and it’s a one-hour program on chocolate, focusing on learning how to properly taste chocolate. You’ve heard me mention this in earlier blogs – there’s a difference between eating and tasting. And with all they do up at Smuggs, it’s one more exciting program in their schedule of great offerings. And it’s totally open to the public.
With a brief intro into some history and info about chocolate, it’s not long before you jump into your first tasting – milk chocolate, dark chocolates, caramels. Aaahh. Think of the things that go into taking a wine tasting course. Yum, right? Well, replace the wine with chocolate. Yum Yum! I know some of you are thinking, why replace the wine with chocolate? Why not do both? Well, this is something all members of the family can attend and while a wine and chocolate pairing is a great idea and very popular, that might be a class for another time.
So, if you find you’re in the neighborhood and want to enroll in “A Chocolate Adventure”, just reach out to the folks at Smugglers’ Notch for more info. They’ll be offering it all season long. What better way to spend the day – skiing in the morning, tasting chocolate in the afternoon. We’ll see you there!
