12 Reasons to Celebrate in October

Posted on September 29, 2008 1:44 PM by Leann

After the great reception for my post of random (and maybe applicable) reasons to celebrate in September, I’ve decided to bring you an updated list for October. Honesty, do we really need a reason to celebrate? Well, some of us do. So, for those of you who fall in that group, this list is for you. Enjoy!

October 1 – World Vegetarian Day – Our dark chocolate contains no meat (duh!) and even no dairy so I think that’s the perfect way to celebrate this event.
October 2 – Name Your Car Day – Huh?
October 5 – Do Something Nice Day – Maybe, perhaps, send chocolate?
October 7 – World Smile Day – I plan to celebrate this all day!!!
October 9 – Moldy Cheese Day – What’s to celebrate? Tossing it in the trash?
October 11 – Take Your Teddy Bear to Work Day – What day isn’t, I ask you.
October 13 – International Skeptics Day – I’m not so sure about this holiday. I almost didn’t include it.
October 18 – Sweetest Day – Thank you, Hallmark.
October 22 – National Nut Day – I don’t know if they mean the food or the person but hey, it’s your day. You pick.
October 27 – Navy Day – Thank a sailor.
October 30 – National Candy Corn Day – again, I ask, what day isn’t?
October 31 – Increase Your Psychic Powers Day – You saw that coming, didn’t you?

OK, so, there are a few reasons to celebrate this month. I know I left off Halloween but it just seemed so obvious. Here’s what I suggest, pick your favorite, get yourself a chocolate bar and celebrate to your hearts content. Happy (insert your favorite here) Day!
