Raffle for Ronald McDonald House

Posted on March 31, 2009 10:46 AM by Jason
Ultimately, around Easter time we are all looking for the same thing…the perfect chocolate bunny. Here at Lake Champlain Chocolates, we work hard to make this existential search easier. With over 25 years of experience, we have crafted some of the finest chocolate bunnies available. We have Classic Milk and Dark Bunnies, a traditional favorite; we have smaller Placesetting Bunnies, perfect for that Easter Sunday meal; we have Cruisin’ Bunnies, speeding away in their chocolate sports cars; beautiful White Chocolate Bunnies; and last but not least the Mr. Goodtime Bunny, weighing 3 lbs and standing an impressive 16.5” tall! So what I’m saying here is consider your search over. Lake Champlain Chocolates has that perfect chocolate bunny you’ve been looking for!

Now, if it’s a truly enormous bunny you’re craving (even bigger than the Mr. Goodtime), then we may still be able to help you out.  Each year Lake Champlain Chocolates raffles off a bunny of epic proportions. The Ha Ha Bunny is its official name and we have three of them. He is 23 pounds of Semi Solid Milk Chocolate (34% cocoa) and stands 2 feet tall! Stop by one of our 3 retail stores on Pine St, Church St or at the Cabot Annex in Waterbury to pick up a $1.00 raffle ticket for your chance to win one these unique bunnies. The best part is that all proceeds go to the Burlington Ronald McDonald House. So not only do you get a chance to win the Ha Ha Bunny, but you also get to help a worthy cause.

Three tickets will be selected on Good Friday, April 10th at 4pm.

Good luck and Happy Easter!

The Cutest Chocolate Bunny Video - Ever!

Posted on June 26, 2008 7:55 AM by Leann
People do some pretty neat things with chocolate, be it cooking, sculpting, photographing, etc. And once in a while, I find things that are just too irresistible to not share. This video of chocolate bunnies is one of those things.

Now, in the second part of this video (Act II), I debated if I should post it because someone might not like it but I decided that all together, it was just so darn cute. I hope you enjoy these adorable chocolate bunnies and to whoever was clever enough to create it, thank you. It made me smile. So sweet - no pun intended!

Less than three weeks until Easter and then I’m back on vacation - skiing, snowboarding and living it up. It sneaks right up on me some years. And this year, since Easter is March 23, it really surprised me. It looks like I’ll be delivering even more chocolate bunnies this year than last year and the Easter baskets are piling up. If I had to pick one item that’s becoming my favorite, I’d have to go with the milk chocolate carrot. Check it out, it's wicked cute. Hey, I’m a rabbit. I like carrots.

It always gets so busy for me this time of year but I'm not complaining. Besides delivering easter baskets and hiding colored eggs for the easter egg hunts, I also have a lot of appearances to make. In fact, I’ll be in the Lake Champlain Chocolates Factory Store Saturdays in March. I love that part because I get to be the star and all the kids love me. Hey, if you’re around, stop in and say hello to an old rabbit.

Hearts begone! Bunnies beware!

Posted on February 15, 2008 10:57 AM by Leann

It’s done. Valentines Day has made its swift appearance and even swifter departure and all that’s left is the chocolate wrapper carnage. But no time for tears. It’s on to that delicious chocolate easter bunny. Those sweet little hoppy things with the oh-so-tempting ears just waiting for a nibble. I can’t wait to get my hands on one. As soon as they have swept the factory store of the pink and red ribbons and bows, I’m certain they’ll make their appearance.

Along with their arrival will be the far-too-delicious filled chocolate easter eggs. Yes, another weakness I’m willing to admit. Come by my office during spring and you’re sure to find a few wadded up colored foil wrappers here and there. Sure, Easter isn’t just about chocolate easter bunnies, chocolate easter baskets and easter eggs but it’s part of what makes up my childhood memories and I can always rely on them to transport me back to those days. And it also means we’re just that much closer to Spring and all it’s joys!
